What is the Health through Oral Wellness® program?

Northeast Delta Dental offers a program called “Health through Oral Wellness®” also known as HOW®. HOW® encourages an open, collaborative patient-dentist relationship to help you achieve and maintain better oral health.

As part of HOW®, you receive free, customized oral health tips designed around your specific oral health needs. When you visit your dental office, your dentist or hygienist will perform a clinical oral health risk assessment to determine your risk for dental disease. This score helps your dentist recommend the proper treatment for you.

Based on your risk level for oral health disease, you were recommended methods and behaviors to help improve your oral health. Philips Sonicare is part of the recommendation to help improve the effectiveness of your brushing. You can choose from one of the great Sonicare products being offered and, the best part, Northeast Delta Dental will cover half of the cost which means you only need to pay 50% (plus sales tax)*.
